Chilean international Arturo Vidal has said that Juventus have still not won the title, despite opening a three-point advantage over AC Milan after this week's round of results.
AC Milan were trailing leaders Juventus by one point prior to this weekend, but after their 1-1 draw with Bologna, they have lost the advantage to Juventus.
With only a few matches remaining in the season, there have been many suggestions that Juventus had already won the title - indeed, one football bets website has already paid out on Juventus winning the league! However, Arturo Vidal has called for some reality check after suggesting that Juventus still had many tricky games in the Italian Serie A.
Juventus managed to open a three-point advantage at the top of the table following their impressive 4-0 thrashing of Roma. AC Milan, meanwhile, could only draw 1-1 against Bologna. This weekend was viewed as being extremely crucial in the Italian Serie A title challenge, as Juventus were having a potentially tricky match.
AC Milan, on the other hand, were up against Bologna at home and many expected them to get three points quite easily. However, only a late Zlatan Ibrahimovic goal helped them secure a point against the relegation threatened club. Vidal, though, has said that people should not be carried away following the results of this weekend, as there are still many tough games for Juventus.
"The title? We haven’t clinched it yet, five games are left and we must continue in this way. We’ve certainly given an important signal, not only with this evening’s victory, but with several excellent performances over the whole season."
"It was a difficult game, but here in Italy all matches are tricky. Now, we must address the remaining fixtures like we did this evening," Vidal said on the official website of Juventus following the match against Roma, which ended in a 4-0 defeat for Enrique's side.
