Serie A side Juventus are keen on continental success after years upon years of local dominance.
Despite the additions during the summer and in almost every transfer window of recent, the Italian side want PSG playmaker Marco Verratti to join them when the next window opens up.
Calciomercato claims that Juventus are set to drop as much as €80 million for the 24-year old. Juventus and a host of other top sides are interested on signing the Italian but the French giants are not open to selling.
Juventus are also keeping their eyes on Lyon star CorentinTolisso. The player is a decent alternative and a less pricey one. Juventus and PSG have a good relationship so striking a deal might not be such a difficult task but the Ligue 1 side do not want to lose their best players as they are also hoping for an European breakthrough.
Verratti said he would speak with the club’s management at the end of the season to know the next steps but he added that he does this regularly. Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona are open to talks with the player but he insists on seeing out his agreement with PSG.
“I have four years of contract with PSG. I feel good in Paris. As every year, we will discuss with the leaders at the end of the season and we will see,” he said.
There have been speculations that the player wants more for his career aside the regular Ligue 1. Juve are also not a ‘big’ team at the moment in Europe but they might lure the player if they reach another Champions League final. They lost to Barcelona in the 2015 final but they have started on a strong foot this time after seeing them off 3-0 last night.
With MiralemPjanic, JaunCuadrado, Paulo Dybala, Mario Mandzukic and others, Max Allegri is gradually building an elite squad to conquer Europe, and he wants Verrati on board.
