Massimiliano Allegri kick-started his career as the manager of Juventus in a superb form as he has guided to the top of Serie A as the Italian manager is attempting to push Juventus to their 4th consecutive Italian League title.
The responsibilities of Allegri does not only lie within the boundaries of Italy with the Serie A but also extend throughout Europe as Allegri is also expected to get Juventus past the group stages of the Champions League.
Juventus is currently located in the 2nd spot of Group A. The Italian club has collected 6 points after 4 matches; Juventus is tied with Olympiakos Piraeus as they both have the same amount of points. Athletic Madrid is at the top of the group with 9 points and the Spanish side is favorites on advancing through the next stages of the Champions League but the 2nd promotion spot will be battled between Juventus and Olympiakos.
The Champions League journey of Allegri as the coach of Juventus has been a rocky road as the Italian team suffered a 1-0 loss against Athletic Madrid on October and a few weeks later also lost against Olympiakos but despite having sustained these defeats, Allegri voiced his confidence in his team as he said that Juventus will be able to progress into the next rounds of the European competition.
"We simply were not able to make the most of our chances and that is why we go home with a defeat. Against teams like Olympiacos you cannot give away any chances and we gave them too many spaces in the opening half.We played badly in the first half but we reacted after the re-start and had opportunities to equalize and even with the match. I am disappointed with the result but I remain optimistic. I believe we will progress to the next round."MassimilianoAllegri said after his clubs’ defeat against Olympiakos on October 22.
